Awwwards sums up 2022 | Voting for the best site of the year is open
Awwwards has launched an annual voting for the best design work of the past year. The voting process is open from the 11th to the 26th of January 2023, so hurry up. You still have time to contribute to the selection of the winner.
There are 6 main categories with 40 nominees each (with the exception of the Best Ecommerce category, which includes 41 nominees):
- Site of the Year
- Agency of the Year
- Studio of the Year
- Independent of the Year
- Developer of the Year
- Ecommerce of the Year
The winners will be selected by Awwwards' international jury of world-renowned designers and developers, which is quite wise given that many users will vote for their friends and colleagues or won't bother looking through all the works submitted in the nominations. But Awwwards assures that community votes will also play a role: "The wider community also has their say, as their votes will count towards the total votes of the Jury, as well as solely deciding the Users' Choice Award."
During this time, votes can be made through Twitter, from accounts created before December 2022. However, Awwwards warns: "To ensure fairness, we reserve the right to remove votes that come from inactive or suspicious accounts and our team will be monitoring the votes to check they come from trusted members of th26 Jan, so hurry up."
Also this year, all those who voted, as well as the nominees, will have the opportunity to win something, namely 2x tickets to the Awwwards Conference 2023. Stay tuned to find out the 2022 winners as soon as the results are out.
