Figma has numeric scale now
Proportional scaling in Figma has become even more convenient. Now, when scaling with the K key, you can type a precise multiplier, scale from an edge or a corner, or get to a precise width or height.
All you have to do to use the new feature is:
- Select an object or frame;
- Press the "K" key;
- Type in a precise multiplier and choose a scale origin point.
You can now scale items in @figma with numeric values!

The news was shared yesterday on Twitter by Marcin Wichary, Figma Design Manager. He talked about the process of creating a new feature and shared some early work.
The interesting challenges were: combining it with the existing mouse-based scaling, avoiding designing an old-fashioned dialog, and making it easy to press K + type a number + press Enter, and then move on to other things.
