Figma integrates new AI tools: image editing, generation, and model selection

Figma continues its active expansion into AI-powered design by launching a new set of beta features available to users on Professional, Organization, and Enterprise plans. These updates significantly enhance how designers interact with and create visual content.

The headline feature of this release is Edit Image, which allows users to make changes to images using text prompts, powered by gpt-image-1 from OpenAI. Designers can now change backgrounds, move objects, and add new elements directly within Figma Design – no external tools required.

  • Titan V2 (Amazon)

This update gives designers more creative freedom and flexibility depending on their visual style, goals, and preferred model output.
