Figma allows creating Figma Slides presentations from a FigJam board with AI
Figma has received a new feature that allows users to convert content from FigJam into Figma Slides using AI.
Now, users can conduct team brainstorming sessions, research sessions, or hypothesis testing in FigJam and then quickly transfer this information to a structured presentation in Figma slides. You can import the entire board or specific parts such as a page, diagram or group of sticky notes.
This feature is especially useful when the FigJam board contains lots of diverse information that needs organizing into a particular sequence. For example, users can choose the key elements for the main slide and create the rest of the presentation based on it. Users can transfer data from any FigJam boards where they have edit permission.
How to create a presentation with content:
- From Figma Slides:
- Click "New slide" and select "Start with an outline."
- Choose a FigJam board and the page you'd like to import.
- Select a template or create an outline without one. Figma AI will process the content and generate slides, which you can then edit and customize.
- From FigJam:
- Open the FigJam board.
- In the menu, select "Create Figma Slides outline" or use the "More actions" option next to the desired page.
- You’ll be redirected to Figma Slides, where you can choose a template or generate an outline without one. You can edit and add new slides as needed.
