Figma partners with Google to integrate Gemini into its platform

Figma has announced a partnership with Google to bring more AI-powered features to its tools. The integration will add Gemini 2.5 Flash, Gemini 2.0, and Imagen 4 models to the design software, addressing what the company calls the “growing needs” of product designers and their teams.

Gemini 2.5 Flash will enhance Figma’s image editing and generation features, allowing users to create and modify visuals directly within the platform. According to Figma, early tests showed a 50% reduction in latency for its “Create Image” feature.

The company will also maintain its partnership with Google Cloud, expanding its AI ecosystem for over 13 million active users each month.
