Figma updates pricing and billing system on the platform
Figma has announced significant changes to its billing and pricing system, effective March 11, 2025. Here are the key updates:
Price increase for the Figma Design plan: Subscription prices for the Figma Design plan will be raised. This decision comes as a result of the addition of new features and tools that enhance the user experience.
Integration of FigJam and Figma Slides: All paid accounts will now include access to FigJam and Figma Slides. This will enable users to collaborate in real-time more easily, organize joint workshops, and create presentations without the need to purchase additional tools.
Administrative changes: The administration model is returning, requiring administrators to approve the addition of new seats to the team. This will allow for better control of subscription costs and ensure that the addition of new users is thoughtful and optimized.
These changes pave the way for a new feature, "Connected Projects," coming later in 2025. Designed to improve collaboration and billing for agencies and freelancers, it addresses feedback that the current payment model required multiple licenses for client collaboration. Connected Projects will allow freelancers and agencies to easily create and edit files with clients using their existing Figma workspaces, eliminating the need for multiple licenses.
