Instagram has moved the message icon on some accounts

As more and more Instagram users are using it as a messaging platform, rather than a social network, the company is introducing new features to improve its messaging experience.

In the photo posted by Jasmine Enberg on X, we can see that the icons for messaging and creating posts have been switched: the "create" button "+" has been moved to the top right corner, and the messaging icon is displayed in the center of the bottom function panel.

Instagram has not commented on this change, but it is likely related to limited beta testing. This change to the app's interface aims to focus more on personal  messaging, rather than public posts.
