Lenovo has released the world's first laptop with a rollable display
At CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Lenovo unveiled the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable — the world's first laptop with a rollable display. This device features a flexible OLED screen that expands the 14-inch display to 16.7 inches. The screen unfolds vertically, creating a tall aspect ratio for the image.
Although the exact aspect ratio in the unfolded state is not disclosed, it is likely to exceed 1:1. According to Lenovo, the rollable display offers up to 50% more workspace. The screen unfolds using a compact motorized mechanism, activated by a button or a gesture recognized by the webcam.
The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable features a rollable OLED display with a brightness of up to 400 nits and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. The refresh rate of the panel is not specified, but it is likely to be 60Hz.
The laptop is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 200-series processor, likely with the highest configuration being the Core Ultra 7 265U. It comes with up to 32GB of LPDDR5x-8533 RAM and a storage capacity of up to 1TB PCIe Gen4.
The Copilot+ PC features AI capabilities like Lenovo AI Now and Cocreator from Paint, enhancing user productivity and creativity. Lenovo AI Now acts as a smart assistant, optimizing workflows and offering personalized task suggestions, while Copilot+ supports AI generation for content creation and data processing, even offline.
The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable will be available for sale in the first quarter of 2025, starting at $3499.
