Meta rolls out AI translation features for Instagram and Facebook creators
Meta is rolling out a new way for creators to share their voices with the world. With Meta AI Translations, reels can now be automatically dubbed and lip-synced into another language. The feature currently supports English ↔ Spanish translations, with more languages planned for the future. It is available to Facebook creators with at least 1,000 followers and to all public Instagram accounts.
The tool preserves the natural sound and tone of each creator’s own voice, keeping the content authentic. Lip-syncing ensures that mouth movements align with the translated audio, making it appear as if the creator is genuinely speaking the language. Creators remain in full control at all times — translations can be enabled or disabled, reviewed, or removed whenever needed.
Before posting a reel, creators will see the option to “Translate your voice with Meta AI.” From there, they can enable translations, add lip-syncing, and publish the video. Once it’s live, viewers will automatically see the version in their preferred language, along with a small note indicating it was translated using AI.
This launch marks an important step toward helping creators reach broader audiences, making their content accessible across languages and cultures, and fostering deeper global connections.
