Microsoft announces a redesign of the "Blue screen of death" on Windows

Microsoft has announced changes to the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) in Windows 11 24H2, making it simpler and more user-friendly. The new design will use a green color, in line with the visual principles of Windows 11, and will display a concise message: "Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart." The familiar frowning face and QR code will no longer appear.

Additionally, the number of technical details previously available to help diagnose errors will be reduced. The absence of the QR code, which allowed users to quickly find solutions to issues, may complicate troubleshooting, especially in the case of serious system failures.

Additionally, there are rumors that the screen may turn black, which would make it resemble the Windows Update screen, potentially leading to confusion.
