Mutating mushroom from The Last of Us infects Google
The Last of Us continues to amaze with its original promos. A creative advertising move was noticed right in the Google search engine.
If you write the name of the series in the search bar, then an icon with the image of a mushroom will appear below. When the mushroom is clicked, fungi starts to cover the screen until it is completely filled with infected fungal growth. The more times you press the button, the stronger the effect. Works on both phone and PC.
Recently, the Internet also circled the photo of an impressive compaine for the release of the series from the Indonesian subway. There, instead of the usual posters, the advertisers of the series recreated a whole creepy and stylish scene. Such a move will definitely defeat any banner blindness.
The second episode of The Last of Us has just aired on HBO Max. The episode titled "Infected" was directed by Neil Druckmann, game director of The Last of Us and co-president of Naughty Dog Studios. So far, the series has received quite a lot of positive reviews. The first episode, for example, received a 9.6/10 rating on IMDb immediately upon release. On Rotten Tomatoes — 99% from critics and 96% from the audience.
