New features in Figma Buzz: customizable templates, plugins, and video trimming

Figma has updated its Buzz tool with three new features designed to make collaboration between marketing and brand teams more flexible and efficient.

Customizable templates built on design systems
Marketing templates in Figma Buzz can now be built using component properties. This allows brand designers to create flexible, reusable templates that easily adapt to platforms like Instagram or LinkedIn—without the need for hundreds of separate versions. Using the “Change layout” panel, marketers can adjust layouts, colors, logos, and calls to action while staying within brand guidelines.

Plugins: more integrations
Buzz now supports plugins for popular tools, letting teams connect directly to DAM, TMS, and motion design platforms such as Brandfolder, Lokalise, and LottieFiles—all without leaving Figma. Teams can also build internal plugins for deeper workflow integration.

Video trimming directly in Buzz
Users no longer need to switch between apps—videos can now be trimmed directly within Figma Buzz. This makes it easier to create short clips for social media or presentations and quickly align formats across teams.

According to Figma, these updates are just the beginning of a broader effort to expand Buzz into a shared space where designers and marketers can create cohesive, on-brand content together.
