Opera One with AI and Enhanced Design Launches on iOS

Opera has released its Opera One browser for iOS, powered by artificial intelligence, after several weeks of beta testing. The iPhone browser features a minimalist design similar to its desktop counterpart and hides unnecessary elements during browsing for a full-screen experience. For instance, the top and bottom panels disappear while scrolling.

The search bar is located at the bottom of the interface, offering quick suggestions as you type and integrating the Aria AI assistant. A new "swipe to search" gesture activates the search bar with a downward swipe, akin to using Spotlight to search for apps on the iPhone home screen. The search bar is the default option, but users can also choose a standard navigation style or quick action buttons.

Aria can assist with web searches, text creation, and image generation. With voice input, Aria allows users to make queries verbally, which is convenient on the go or in hands-free mode. The assistant also uses Google’s Imagen2 model to create images based on text prompts.

Additionally, a new homepage carousel integrates news, real-time results, and tips without cluttering the interface. The browser includes a built-in ad blocker, a free VPN service, and several theme customization options.
