Samsung releases One UI 6.1, its second iteration based on Android 14. The update focuses on enhancements to Galaxy AI, Samsung's suite of AI-powered features integrated throughout the software. These features primarily reside within Samsung applications, with Google's Circle to Search functionality accessible via a long press on the home button or gesture bar.

One UI 6.1 introduces a range of Galaxy AI features, including Circle to Search, Chat Assist, Interpreter, Live Translate, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, Browsing Assist, Generative Edit, Edit Suggestion, Instant Slow-Mo, Generative Wallpaper, and Photo Ambient Wallpaper. It's important to note that feature availability may vary by device.

For instance, Photo Ambient Wallpaper is currently exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series, and Instant Slow-Mo is not supported on the Galaxy S23 FE.

Beyond Galaxy AI enhancements, One UI 6.1 introduces additional feature changes. These include the removal of Samsung's three-area gesture navigation system and the introduction of a new "Battery Protection" feature. It is possible that these features may be made available on devices that do not receive Galaxy AI functionalities.

Samsung One UI 6.1 update rollout commenced on March 28, 2024, for select Galaxy smartphones and tablets launched in 2023. Currently, the update is confirmed for flagship devices within the Galaxy S (S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, S23, S23+, S23 FE), Z (Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5), and Tab S (Tab S9, S9+, S9 Ultra) series.

The update rollout may take one to two weeks to reach all eligible devices.

Information regarding One UI 6.1 availability for other 2023 Galaxy devices is not yet available.
