The French AI startup has introduced a voice assistant that can surpass ChatGPT

The French AI startup Kyuutai funded by billionaire Xavier Niel has presented the voice assistant named Moshi.

The developer stated that their system is capable of expressing 70 different emotions and tones.
Moshi is designed to provide realistic conversations with users through voice, similar to Alexa or Google Assistant. It works based on large language models, such as those used by ChatGPT, including the Helium 7B model.

“It thinks as it speaks,” Kyutai Chief Executive Officer Patrick Pérez said. “We believe Moshi has tremendous potential to change the way we communicate with and through machines.”

The new service is an "experimental project," Kyuutai also said the model and research would be available in the upcoming weeks, but did not specify a date.
The demo version is now available for testing voice assistant. Users have access to sessions that last up to five minutes.
