TikTok launches "Refresh feed" feature

A new option was created for users who feel that their recommendations in the feed no longer match their interests. Now it will be possible to refresh the TikTok feed and retrain the algorithm for yourself. The rest of your app, including your Following feed and your inbox, will remain untouched.

A new option was created for users who feel that their recommendations in the feed no longer match their interests. Now it will be possible to update the TikTok feed and retrain the algorithm for yourself. The rest of your app, including subscriptions and your inbox, will remain intact.

The function will obviously be very useful to those users who constantly come across videos that they do not want to see. For example, if you are already tired of fan videos for some TV show or have been too keen on sports videos for a while. The "Update Your Feed" feature allows you to start over and teach the algorithm your new interests.

The Refresh feature won’t override any settings you’ve already chosen to enable or impact accounts you’ve followed.

You can access the new feature by going to your settings, clicking on your content settings, and selecting the "Refresh Your For You feed" option. From there, you must click on the "Refresh" button. This action cannot be undone.
