The Role

Job Title:  UI Designer

Job Responsibilities:

• Design user interfaces in Figma
• Comfortable delivering design artifacts to teams according to project schedules, across multiple projects, establishing clarity through open communication
• Work with User Experience, User Research, Information Architecture, and other SMEs to understand user needs and incorporate this deep user understanding into interface designs
• Collaborate within an agile team to understand and contribute to user requirements
• Have an understanding of design system components, be able to use components in your designs, and contribute to design system components if needed
• This role is expected to be an active and autonomous part of our exceptionally collaborative team

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of experience preferred
• A portfolio of work is required for consideration
• A degree in a related field or a certification from a reputable organization
• Proficiency in Figma
• Experience working in an Agile environment preferred
• Experience with design for data visualization
• Knowledge of design for accessibility

Skills:

• Passionate and excited about human-centered design and digital innovation – up to date on latest technologies and design trends
• Has a thorough understanding of design as a discipline: understanding of brand elements, color, typography, visual hierarchy, information visualization, curated use of imagery and illustration to tell a story by design
• Very collaborative in communicating and fully understanding design and interactive concepts and excited to work with a cross-functional team to bring delightful experiences to our users
• Open to feedback and able to provide feedback within a highly collaborative team of designers
• Empathetic toward users and curious about uncovering user needs
