The Role

Job Title: UI/UX Designer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to create intuitive and effective user experiences.
  • Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that translate complex requirements into simple and elegant design solutions.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to continuously improve the user experience and design process.
  • Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI components to ensure consistency across all digital platforms.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs, providing detailed specifications, assets, and guidance.
  • Stay up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously innovate and improve our design practices.
  • Advocate for the end user by creating accessible, inclusive, and user-centered designs that deliver an exceptional user experience.
  • Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine and improve designs.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of digital products and user experiences.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools for creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, best practices, and methodologies, including usability, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Experience with user research methods, such as user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and A/B testing.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus, with the ability to work closely with developers to ensure design integrity during implementation.
  • Experience with design systems and creating reusable UI components.
  • Experience designing for web, with a strong understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles.
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and the ability to work in a cross-functional Agile team.
  • Understanding of front-end development and familiarity with tools like Zeplin, InVision, or Figma for design handoff.
  • Experience in creating accessible designs in compliance with 508 and WCAG standards and best practices.
  • Experience conducting workshops and brainstorming sessions to gather insights and drive design thinking.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions to stakeholders and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
