The Role

Job Title: UI/UX Designer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality, visually appealing user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience. Focus on delivering pixel-perfect designs that align with client goals and brand guidelines.
  • Work with the UX and Consulting teams to translate user needs and business goals into intuitive, user-friendly designs. Ensure that your designs are aligned with overall project objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UI design trends, tools, and techniques. Apply this knowledge to your work to ensure our designs remain cutting-edge and effective.
  • Engage with clients to understand their design needs and present your work confidently. Adapt your designs based on client feedback to ensure satisfaction and alignment with their vision.
  • Develop interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas and test them with users. Iterate on your designs based on user feedback and testing outcomes.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of design systems that ensure consistency and accessibility across our projects. Help streamline the design process by adhering to and expanding these systems as needed.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:

  •  4+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your UI design skills across various digital platforms.
  • Proficiency in Figma, e.g. components and variables. Basic knowledge of Adobe CC, HTML and CSS is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of complex Design Systems (Alokai storefront UI 2.5 and later, Material UI and the likes), design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout. Familiarity with Design Thinking and user-centred design processes.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and experience incorporating accessibility into design work to ensure inclusive and user-friendly experiences for all users.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in English and Swedish is required. Norwegian language skills are a plus.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain your design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, polished designs.
  • Ability to think creatively and come up with innovative design solutions.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with others and contributing to a positive team environment. We are a team that likes to have fun :)
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your workload effectively, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Comfortable in client-facing roles and able to adapt designs to meet client needs and preferences.
