The Role
Job Title: UI/UX Designer
Job Responsibilities:
- Create detailed UI mockups, workflow diagrams, and prototypes using component-based design principles to ensure scalability and consistency.
- Develop and maintain design systems and style guides that promote the reuse of components across different platforms and applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into clear, functional designs.
- Document comprehensive functional and technical requirements to guide the development process.
- Draft and execute User Acceptance Test (UAT) plans to validate the final product against business and functional requirements.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless implementation of designs and that final products meet specifications.
- Develop visually appealing, intuitive user interfaces that align with brand guidelines and meet accessibility standards (Section 508).
- Continuously iterate and refine designs based on feedback from cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Communicate design concepts effectively and advocate for component reusability and design system consistency across projects.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, design system best practices, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
- Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio highlighting UI mockups, workflow designs, and functional documentation.
- Proficient in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Experience in building component-based UI design systems and reusable components.
- Strong understanding of user interface design principles, style guide development, and best practices.
- Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Understanding of Section 508 UI accessibility standards.
