The Role

Job Title: UI/UX Designer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design user-friendly, visually appealing interfaces for web applications.
  • Collaborate proactively with stakeholders (Product Managers, Business Analysts, Development Team) to gather and translate requirements into impactful designs, particularly when briefs are evolving.
  • Maintain and enhance design systems for consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Develop UI mock-ups, prototypes and design assets that bring clarity to features and functionality, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Ensure designs are accessible and meet relevant standards, including WCAG guidelines.
  • Support the design and development teams by providing design assets and resolving implementation queries.
  • Create and maintain documentation and style guides to ensure consistency and clarity across all design work.
  • Solve problems creatively to adhere to budget and time constraints.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant graduate qualification in UX/UI Design.
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with a strong focus on visual and interaction design.
  • A solid understanding of UX principles to inform design decisions.
  • Expertise in typography, colour theory and layout principles.
  • Knowledge of web standards, responsive design techniques, and accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG).
  • Familiarity with building and maintaining design systems or component libraries.
  • Experience understanding customer experiences and journeys within a SaaS business (SaaS experience is highly desirable).
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience collaborating with developers, understanding technical constraints, and contributing to implementation.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS concepts and skills or interest in data visualisation.
