The Role
Job Title: UX Designer
Job Responsibilities:
- Interface, Experience, and Interaction Design: Deliver excellent wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Ensure designs are consistent with our style guide and brand identity.
- Product Discovery: Conduct user research and qualitative discovery to understand the evolving needs, behaviors, and pain points for our beauty industry customers. Analyze data alongside the product management team to inform design decisions and improve the customer experience.
- Product Strategy: Explore complex, ambiguous problem spaces, working with your team to understand the opportunity, and then chart a path forward together.
- Thought Leadership: Serve as the voice of the customer and drive process improvements which ensure alignment and buy-in from technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure seamless implementation of designs and maintain a unified product vision.
- Goal Oriented: Align design thinking to our business north star and OKRs, and measure everything we deliver to learn from and evaluate success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in product design, including 2+ years servicing SMB SaaS customers.
- Demonstrate a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in designing intuitive user interfaces and experiences.
- Experience in the beauty or wellness industry and designing mobile applications.
- Proficient in design tools such as Figma and Maze.
- Usage of product analytics, goals, and data to drive design decisions.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, with experience conducting user research and usability testing.
- Experience using Pendo is a plus.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
