Adobe tests real-time collaborative editing in Photoshop
Adobe is testing a feature for real-time collaborative editing of projects in Photoshop.
Adobe is testing a project sharing feature in Photoshop that allows multiple users to edit the same project simultaneously.
Adobe has been working on collaborative editing features for a while. In 2021, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fresco received asynchronous collaborative editing and commenting features. However, the new Live Co-Editing feature will significantly streamline the collaborative efforts of multiple designers on a single project.
A team of designers can now work on a Photoshop document simultaneously, distributing tasks to complete projects more efficiently. This feature enables creative teams at large enterprises to collaborate on complex projects, gather stakeholder comments, and send feedback within a single file.
Moreover, creators can intuitively collect client feedback by inviting them to collaborate directly on the file, review changes, and leave comments.
For students, this opens new possibilities: they can watch live demonstrations of workflows by instructors and learn techniques in Photoshop. Instructors, in turn, can add comments and make edits directly in the student's document, enhancing learning and providing contextual feedback.
