Affinity is launching a six-month free trial version of its design software, considered one of the few viable alternatives to Adobe's suite. The offer is available for Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, and Affinity Publisher starting from June 8, 2024, on Mac, Windows, and iPad.

Affinity uses a one-time purchase pricing model, which has earned a loyal fan base among creatives tired of paying for ongoing subscriptions. Prices start at $69.99 for individual programs or $164.99 for the entire package. Additionally, there is currently a 50% discount on all Affinity software.

Affinity's CEO, Ashley Hewson, points out that anyone who takes the trial version is not obligated to purchase it. Therefore, this discount, along with the six-month trial version, aims to give designers the opportunity to try out the alternative without needing to spend a lot of money on it.
