Google Labs has introduced Mixboard, a new experimental tool powered by Gemini 2.5 Flash that helps users create design boards. They can choose from ready-made templates or use text prompts to generate ideas for home décor, events, or visual collections – similar to Pinterest.

With Mixboard, you can start from a text prompt or a pre-populated template, upload your own images or generate new ones with AI, and edit boards using natural language. Powered by the new Nano Banana image editing model, the tool lets you adjust visuals, combine elements, or generate variations with one-click options like regenerate and more like this. Mixboard can also create text based on the context of images on your board.

While the format resembles FigJam and Adobe Firefly Boards, Google emphasizes experimentation with AI-driven creativity. The service is currently available in the U.S. as a public beta.
