Google Labs has introduced Opal, a new AI-based tool that allows users to create, edit, and share mini apps using natural language and a visual editor. Opal is currently available in public beta for users in the United States.

The tool combines AI models, prompts, and other resources to enable rapid prototyping of ideas or building applications without programming knowledge. Users can start with ready-made templates from the Google Labs gallery, create their own projects, or combine various mini apps.

Opal visualizes workflows, allowing the construction of multi-step applications with different actions and stages. Completed projects can be saved and shared via a Google account. Available templates include mini apps for blogging, social media content creation, product research, and more.

Opal is part of Google’s initiatives to democratize software development and empower users through AI.
