Google will make it easier to remove your personal information from search
The new feature called ‘Results about you’ will allow you to request that Google remove results containing your personal information in two clicks.
According to 9to5Google, it will soon be even easier for users to request that their personal information be removed from search results. Google is launching a new 'Results About You' feature.
They announced the new feature back in May, but the rollout has only just begun. The feature is already available to some users in Europe, Asia and even the US.
The ‘Results about you’ feature will allow you to request that Google remove results containing your personal information in two clicks. For example, your phone number, name, email IDs, or address.
The request can be submitted directly from the search page: just tap the three-dotted button next to the search result. The “About this result” panel will have a 'Remove result' option
Of course, Google will need time to process the request. The company said it doesn't want this feature to remove relevant and non-malicious information from search results. Therefore, all requests will be carefully analyzed and evaluated.
