The YouTube channel Front Page Tech released a new video sharing potential design changes in iOS 19, based on materials from sources inside Apple.

According to the rendered images, iOS 19 may adopt a more transparent and "glass-like" appearance, inspired by visionOS. A key detail is that app icons will become rounder, although it's unclear whether they will be fully circular like in visionOS.

Another interesting update is the introduction of a pill-shaped tab bar that will appear at the bottom of many built-in apps, including the App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV, Messages, and Phone. The search bar will feature an elongated field with a round button that allows users to quickly return to the tabs.

Among other changes are rounded corners for interface elements, including the Haptic Touch menu, volume and brightness sliders, as well as updated camera and microphone permission windows. Additionally, the Settings app will feature thinner toggles, and the keyboard will be updated for greater user convenience

A new light effect has also been announced, which will add shine to the interface. For example, the flashlight and camera buttons on the lock screen will flicker when the phone is moved.

Additionally, the blogger claims that Apple is preparing a surprise for future iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max owners — a feature that was introduced by Samsung back in 2013 with the Galaxy S4. It involves the ability to record video simultaneously with both the front and rear cameras.
