The new version is called Stable Diffusion XL or SDXL and is available in beta through DreamStudio, Stability AI's generative art tool. It brings the most noticeable improvements in applications like graphic design and architecture. Also, the new version of Stable Diffusion has much less problems with the generation of hands and text.

Stable Diffusion is still free, while Midjourney has recently become paid due to the constant creation of fakes by users (the most famous is Balenciaga Pope). The company has not found a way to deal with such a problem, so now the subscription costs a minimum of $10 per month. However, there is doubt that such measures will stop the creators of fake images.
