Updates include a new AI image generator, Dream Lab, a tool for generating subtitles for videos, improvements to its Whiteboard and Magic Write features and expansion of the music and video library.
Canva has launched a powerful new AI-powered image generator, Dream Lab, based on the Leonardo model, that aims to help users create high-quality images and graphics from textual descriptions. This is an innovative tool that generates multiple image variants in over 15 different styles. Users can create, create images from photorealistic portraits to 3D visualizations.
One of the most important option of Dream Lab is the ability to upload an image as a style sample, allowing users to get better detailed results and create images that meet their specific requirements.
Canva has also released several updates to its Visual Suite, a collection of tools for creating documents, videos, and presentations. One of the most notable additions is the automatic subtitle generation and styling feature for videos. With the "Branded Captions" tool, users are able to add subtitles to their videos and then customize them to match their brand's identity.
The "Whiteboards" tool for team collaboration has also been enhanced. Using the sort function, users can easily organize stickers by color, author, or topic. By reacting to stickers, teams can highlight the most important ideas.
The Canva resource library has expanded even further thanks to a partnership with the Artlist music platform. This has led to the addition of a wide range of new free music and video resources, greatly simplifying and diversifying the process of creating multimedia content.
Another significant update was the enhancement of the "Magic Write tool", which creates text sentences. It now offers more relevant ideas and appropriate context. Users can not only generate texts quickly, but also edit them using textual commands.
The Mockups tool has been improved with the addition of new diagram types and tools for creating more realistic mockups in the app.
The company has also expanded its integrations with popular platforms, such as Google Workspace, Hootsuite, and Mailchimp.
