OpenAI has added a new section to ChatGPT called "Library", which allows users to search for and access their own AI-generated images more quickly.

The Library is located at the top of the sidebar and is accessible to all ChatGPT users on both mobile apps and web. By clicking on the image, users will see a grid of images that they have created.

To delete the generated image from the gallery, users will need to permanently delete the dialogue in which ChatGPT generated it. Also, any image in the library can be edited. When users click on an image, ChatGPT will ask them to describe what needs to be added or removed. After receiving the request, the generation will start in a previously created dialogue with the same image.

The company has clarified that only images created by the user using the new GPT-4o generator will appear in the Library. Generations created with DALL-E will not appear in the section.

The new section is available to all subscribers, including those with free plans.
