Google has introduced a new feature in its app that could become an alternative to Pinterest — a dedicated “Images” tab. It allows users to discover, save, and organize images based on their interests.

The new “Images” icon will appear at the bottom of the Google app on iOS and Android, giving access to a daily-updated gallery. Users can browse, search for more inspiration, and save their favorite images to collections.

Google positions the update as an easy way to find visual ideas for travel, decor, fashion, or events – creating a single space for inspiration from the first spark to execution.

The rollout will begin in the coming weeks in the U.S., as the company looks to boost engagement amid growing competition from Pinterest and AI-powered platforms.
