Google enhanced Gmail's search with the use of AI

Google has introduced an AI-powered update to Gmail, aiming to improve the search function.

Previously, Gmail search displayed results in chronological order based only on the keywords entered by the user. With this AI update, the search will include criteria such as the recency of emails and how often a user has interacted with specific messages or contacts. For example, if a user frequently interacts with messages from a particular person or company, those messages will be more likely to appear at the top of their search results.

It is expected that the update will improve Gmail's search function, providing users with more accurate results and reducing the time spent searching for specific emails.


For convenience, users can easily switch between the new sorting mode and the default date sorting in the app. The new AI-search will be available to users of personal Google accounts worldwide through a web browser or apps for Android and iOS.
