Google presents a new feature, "Gmail Q&A", which allows users to have a chat with the Gemini AI assistant about e-mail.

Now, the new feature is available in the browser version and in the Gmail Android app. The company states that "Gmail Q&A" will soon be available on iOS as well.

Gemini's personal assistant can help by reading emails, summarizing them, and searching for specific details mentioned in the e-mail.

The Gemini button will be added next to the search bar. Users simply need to enter a command in order to interact with Gemini, and the AI assistant will provide options.

Gemini can also show user unread emails or help to find the status of an order. You can see some example commands in the screenshot below.

Currently, the feature is only available to users who have a Google One AI Premium subscription, or who have purchased a Google Workspace plan that includes the Gemini Business, Enterprise, or Education add-on.
