Google's most popular font now supports more customization options. Roboto is Google Fonts’ most popular download. And now there’s a major upgrade to Roboto — introducing Roboto Flex font, a variable font with 12(!) axes.
With Roboto Flex, you can change the height, thickness, padding, angle, and more.
Like its siblings, Roboto Flex is a variable font which allow one file to contain multiple stylistic variations. Roboto Flex was designed by Font Bureau to be super scalable, adaptable, customizable, and optimizable.
“Everyone is switching between devices, resizing browsers, and spreading their viewport across multiple screens,” said David Berlow from Font Bureau when asked about the intent of Flex. "Fortunately, scaling, adaptability, and responsiveness are all questions variable typography can answer.”
You can get Roboto Flex on Google Fonts.
