OpenAI Releases Official ChatGPT App for iOS

OpenAI has released a truly official ChatGPT app for iOS. The Android version is expected to be released "soon".

Currently, ChatGPT for iOS is only available in the US, but the company will expand the list of supported countries over the next few weeks.

The app syncs ChatGPT chat history across devices and supports advanced features for ChatGPT Plus subscribers, including access to the GPT-4 language model.

There are already a lot of fake ChatGPT apps in the app stores. In most cases, they simply launch the chatbot web interface, adding ads, in the worst case, they encourage users to launch malware. This version of ChatGPT for iOS is official, free for basic functions and has no ads.

Additionally, the application incorporates another OpenAI development known as the Whisper neural network, designed specifically for speech recognition.
