With the upcoming One UI 7 update, Samsung is offering Galaxy phone users a system-wide option to turn off high dynamic range (HDR) content. This new "Super HDR" toggle will appear in the settings menu and will reduce the brightness of content in any app.

Previously, a similar setting in the Samsung Gallery would disable this feature for that specific app only. However, the new update is system-wide and works even for third-party apps like Instagram.

The update allows users to avoid overloading the phone's screen with excessive brightness from HDR content, making it more comfortable to use a smartphone in any light conditions.

The release of One UI 7.0 is scheduled for January 2025.
