Spotify introduces track mixing for Premium users
The company launched a custom transitions feature for automatic or manual playlist track blending using presets like fade, rise, and blend.
Spotify has launched a new feature for Premium users that allows seamless transitions between tracks, with options to adjust volume, EQ, effects, and transition styles. Currently in beta, the mixing feature opens up new possibilities for music personalization.
To try it out, simply open an existing playlist or create a new one, then tap the “Mix” button in the menu. Users can select “Auto” mode for an instant blend, or manually customize transitions using presets like Fade or Rise.
You can also fine-tune volume, effects, and transition points with the help of waveform and beat visualizations. Once your mix is ready, save it, share it, or even collaborate on it with friends. And if needed, just tap the Mix button again to turn the feature off.
