Spotify redesigns its Apple Watch app
Spotify has been redesigned to make it easier to find and download music on the small watch screen.
Spotify announced an update to its Apple Watch app. The app was first launched in 2018. Now it has been redesigned to make it even easier to find and download music on the small watch screen.
Larger icons and smoother animations have been added to the app. Previously, almost all elements were submitted only in text format. Now the application has more images, and the text itself has become easier to read.
A useful feature for podcast listeners is that an updated version of Spotify now shows you where you left off in an episode, so it's easier to get back and finish listening.
Also, the application now marks new releases with a blue dot, similar to how it happens in the mobile app.
Another handy feature is that you can now download content to your Apple Watch without using the Spotify app on your smartphone. Previously, downloading was possible only through a mobile application.
The updated Spotify app for Apple Watch will be available to all users next week.
