Spotify rolls out lossless audio streaming
Lossless works across mobile, desktop, and tablet, as well as many Spotify Connect–enabled devices from brands like Sony, Bose, Samsung, and Sennheiser.

Lossless audio has officially arrived on Spotify Premium, delivering music with richer detail and greater clarity than ever before. The feature supports streaming at up to 24-bit/44.1 kHz FLAC, giving listeners a more immersive experience across nearly the entire Spotify catalog.
Premium users will be notified in the app once lossless becomes available in their region. It can be enabled in Settings → Media Quality, with options to choose lossless playback over Wi-Fi, mobile data, or downloads. A badge will confirm when lossless is active.

For the best performance, Spotify recommends using Wi-Fi with wired headphones or Spotify Connect devices, since Bluetooth cannot currently transmit true lossless audio. Users can select from Low, Normal, High, Very High, and now Lossless, with clear data usage indicators to make choosing easier.|
Lossless works across mobile, desktop, and tablet, as well as many Spotify Connect–enabled devices from brands like Sony, Bose, Samsung, and Sennheiser. Support for Sonos, Amazon, and additional devices will follow soon.
The rollout is underway in more than 50 markets, including the US, UK, Germany, Sweden, Japan, and Australia, with wider availability coming soon.
