Steam adds new feature: in-game video recording
Steam introduces a new video recording feature, allowing gamers to capture and share gameplay moments without third-party software.
Steam has launched a video recording feature for gamers, allowing them to capture in-game achievements without relying on third-party software like NVIDIA, Xbox, or OBS. Now, players can record their moments and share them on social media.
The feature is available to all users and offers two recording modes: background mode, which automatically saves gameplay, and manual mode, giving players control over when to start and stop the recording. Users can also configure the storage drive, set time limits, and manage file size.
Additionally, Steam supports quick playback for reviewing important moments or analyzing in-game failures. Players can also create short clips of the best highlights for easy sharing with friends. The feature is also available on Steam Deck, allowing users to record and share videos even while gaming on the go.
