Telegram introduces public post search, story albums, gift collections & more

Telegram’s latest update introduces several thoughtful improvements — from advanced search tools and story organization to enhanced gift collections and a more intuitive way to manage bots.
Global Search for Public Posts

Finding public content on Telegram is now easier than ever. A new “Posts” tab in the search bar displays results from public channels, helping users quickly find relevant posts — whether it’s news, tips, or community discussions.
This global search feature is currently available to Telegram Premium subscribers.
Story Albums

Users can now organize their stories into albums on their profiles, making it easier to highlight and revisit memorable moments. Creators and businesses posting stories in channels can also use albums to group content — such as product showcases or themed playlists.
To create an album, users need to go to the “Posts” tab in their profile or channel and tap “Add Album.”
Gift Collections

Telegram now lets users arrange received or owned gifts into custom collections. Whether grouped by theme, rarity, or aesthetic, gifts can be organized in whatever way users prefer.
Each gift can be added to multiple collections, allowing for personalized groupings. With helpful filters available, browsing through collections is fast and simple.
To build a collection, users should go to the “Gifts” tab in their profile or channel, select a gift, and tap “Add Collection.”
Profile Rating System

Telegram profiles now display a numerical rating badge, based on the total volume of successful transactions involving Telegram Stars — the platform’s digital currency.
This rating boosts user credibility, especially for those managing channels or requesting Suggested Posts, and reflects their engagement level within Telegram.
The score increases when users purchase gifts, send paid messages, or promote posts using Stars. However, refunds or converting gifts back into Stars may lower the rating.
Limited-Edition Premium Gifts

Some Telegram gift sets are so popular that they often sell out within minutes. To give premium users early access, Telegram will soon introduce exclusive limited-edition gifts, with restrictions on the number each person can purchase.
While the majority of gifts will still be available to all users, these limited releases will be exclusive to Premium subscribers.
Bot Management with BotFather Mini App

Telegram bot and mini app developers now have a more convenient way to manage their projects using the new @BotFather mini app. From creating bots to updating settings, icons, and descriptions — everything is handled through a streamlined interface.
Developers can also build advanced mini apps that support full-screen mode, geolocation, motion tracking, subscriptions, and even shortcuts to users' home screens.
