Pixel 9 smartphone may get call recording with transcripts and improved panorama mode
Pixel 9, scheduled for release on August 13 in addition to "Add Me" and "Reimagine With" features, will receive call recording and a new panoramic shooting interface.
There are rumors that the upcoming Pixel 9 smartphone will include call recording with transcription and redesigned panorama mode.
This was announced by Dylan Roussell, an Android app developer, on his X account.
According to rumors, the new "Call Notes" feature will allow users to record phone conversations and receive a text transcription of the call in real-time. It is also expected that an AI-powered summarization function will be available to help users understand the main points of the conversation.
On the Pixel 8 Pro, the current "Recorder" app already allows users to record conversations, transcribe them and provide a summary of the content, all without the need of an internet connection. This functionality suggests that there is already a basis for call notes in the Pixel 8 series.
In addition, the Pixel 9 will have an "updated Panorama mode". With the Pixel 8 series, Google removed the photo sphere feature, which some users used instead of panorama, and this upset many users.
Google is reportedly planning to add several new features to the upcoming Pixel 9 series of smartphones, which will be released next month.
