WhatsApp allows users to add music to their status
The feature will be rolled out gradually and will be available to all users worldwide in the coming weeks.

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to add music to their statuses.
When users upload a photo or video to their status, a music note icon will appear on the screen, allowing to select a song from a vast library of millions of tracks. Users can also choose a specific part of the song that they want to use in the status. The music will play for up to 15 seconds with photos and up to 60 seconds with videos.
WhatsApp notes that the content of a status is protected by end-to-end encryption, meaning that the company can't access the content or music chosen by the user.
The feature will be rolled out gradually and will be available to all users worldwide in the coming weeks.
