WhatsApp is developing a new feature that allows users to create images using artificial intelligence. According to WABetaInfo, a trusted update source for WhatsApp, this feature, called "Imagine Me", is currently being tested in the beta version of Android 2.24.14.13.

The tool behind this feature is Meta's chatbot. Users can generate AI-generated images by typing "Imagine me" in a Meta AI chat, or using "@Meta AI imagine me" in other chats. WhatsApp will ask users to take a selfie and then generate a desired avatar based on their text request.
The Meta AI will process these commands independently and automatically share the resulting image in the conversation, while maintaining user privacy.

The "Imagine Me" is an optional feature that will not be enabled by default.
In addition to creating personalized images, users can also choose from a variety of backgrounds and locations, ranging from forest to outer space, to customize their photos.

There is no exact information about the new AI feature will be available will the public, but it is expected that "Imagine me" will be available to all users in a future release.
