YouTube plans to launch a new feature that will allow users to search for objects or locations using Google Lens in Shorts.
To use Google Lens while watching YouTube Shorts, users need to pause the video by tapping the screen. Then, they should press the "Lens" button in the top menu. After that, to search with Google Lens, users can simply circle an area on the screen or click on an object.
The app will display visual matches and search results directly on top of the Shorts video. By selecting one of the results, users can "quickly jump back into the content they were watching."
