Updated Gmail interface will be available to all users

A fresh redesign of Gmail based on Material Design 3 is rolling out to all users. It includes:

• Sections Mail, Chat, Meet and Spaces combined into one group on the sidebar on the left. Now you can quickly switch between them;

• Ability to quickly respond;

• Simplified search for contacts by name or address (before that, the system first looked for matches by last name);

• Filters under the search bar: it will be possible to find, for example, only unread letters from a specific person or only letters with attached pictures.

In the settings, you can refuse to update and return to the previous view.
