Adobe has introduced a new version of Photoshop for smartphones
Adobe has launched a free Photoshop app for smartphones with web version integration, featuring tools for design, editing, and image generation.

Adobe has launched a new free Photoshop app for smartphones, which also integrates with the web version. It offers a range of features for design, editing, and even image generation, and is already available on iOS. The Android version will be released later this year.
The updated Adobe Photoshop app for iPhone is now available in the App Store, bringing a fresh design and a variety of useful tools. Users can now combine and edit photos, graphics, and images from Adobe Stock. Unlike Photoshop Express, which has been available on smartphones since 2010, the new app includes more tools from the full desktop version.

The free version offers precise selection tools, unlimited layers, and masks. Users can remove, replace, or change the color of various elements in an image, as well as use features like the Spot Healing Brush. It also includes Adobe's generative AI, Firefly, with tools like Generative Fill and Generative Expand.

For more complex tasks, the mobile app now supports PSD files and allows users to edit photos from other Adobe services, such as Lightroom. To facilitate work sharing, the app also supports high-quality import and export functions.
Along with the release of the new app for iPhone, Adobe has announced a new subscription plan that will provide access to premium features of the mobile app and additional capabilities for the web version of Photoshop. Users will be able to continue editing their files in the browser, where AI features like Generate Similar and Reference Image will also be available.

With the new subscription plan, users will gain access to over 20,000 fonts and additional tools from the full desktop version, such as Object Select, Magic Wand, Remove Tool, and more. Additionally, both the web and mobile versions offer tools for adjusting opacity, color effects, and blending modes, allowing users to fine-tune the lighting or darkening of specific areas of an image.
The plan, introduced alongside the mobile app, will cost $7.99 per month or $69.99 per year. However, all existing Photoshop subscription plans, including the desktop version, will also provide access to the premium features of the mobile app and the browser version.
