This update comes with a range of new features designed to simplify the presentation creation process and make it more efficient and user-friendly:
- PowerPoint integration: Support for importing and exporting PowerPoint (.pptx) files has been added, making it easier for users to switch between platforms seamlessly.
- Advanced video editing: Users can now edit videos, adjust playback speed, and pause directly within the presentation editor.
- Components for Slides: Figma Slides now supports consistent components, similar to design systems in Figma's main interface, ensuring unity and structure in presentations.
- Element animations: Animation effects for elements have been improved, adding dynamic transitions like fade-ins and fade-outs to slides.
- Automatic slide numbering: This small but useful update automatically numbers slides, saving time and helping with presentation organization.
However, an important limitation has been introduced regarding slide editing. Only users on paid plans can edit presentations, while free Starter plan users have access only to view and comment features.
