Figma unveils new features for streamlined design systems

Figma has introduced a number of updates aimed at improving your design process:

• Quick access to the main component – now you can instantly jump to the component source without extra clicks:
  • Mac: Control + Option + Command + K
  • Windows: Control + Alt + Shift + K
• Hide & show variables – declutter your workspace and focus on what's important.
• Copy & duplicate styles – speed up updates without starting from scratch.

Other improvements include:

• Improved UI component descriptions.
• Drag the variable modal across the entire header.
• Variables now auto-save.
• Tooltips on component names for better navigation.
• Edit button alignment fix.
• Text overflow improvements in the style window.
